WARNING!
This is the eighth book in a series, and reading this review without
having read the previous books might spoil some of your fun.
The story:
Now Indigo has faced six of her seven demons. Only one remains, and
that one will be faced at Indigo's home; the Southern Isles. But
another king rules now, with no connection to Indigo or her family.
On her way, Indigo meets a man, Vinar. When the ship they are aboard shipwrecks, Indigo hurts her head and forgets everything. Grimya, the demons, who she is, and what her purpose is. Vinar loves Indigo, and tells her that she had accepted his proposal.
Grimya is washed ashore far from Indigo, and their paths part. And to the witch who takes care of Grimya, comes a visitor, Perd Nordenson, who fills Grimya with an unexplainable horror.
In Carn Caille, where everything began, the last demon awaits, in the
company of the ghosts of the princess Anghara's past.
Thoughts about the book:
I really liked the end of the series. The demon was a surprise,
though perhaps it shouldn't have been. After Indigo made her peace
with Nemesis, the last demon would have to be special.
