They said on TV that her name was Molly, but Jim already knew that.
They also said that she was eight years old, but she didn't look
eight, more like six; didn't look old enough to be in school,
even.
The stories:
Werehunter is a collection of short stories, most of them published
before in other collections.
Werehunter is a story of Glenda, whose life changes drastically, and suddenly she finds herself on four legs instead of two. A nice shapechanger story.
SKitty, A Tail og Two SKittys, SCat and A Better Mousetrap are stories of Dick White and his telepathic cat, SKitty. For cat lovers, and others. Cute, really cute, stories.
The Last of the Season is a grim story, of a kidnapped child and the kidnapper. It has been published before, but is now out, heavily rewritten.
Satanic, Versus and Nightside are stories of Diana Tregarde. Enjoyable. I have to get more of the Diana Tregarde books.
Wet Wings is a beautiful story of a young mage, or rather, shaman.
Stolen Silver is a Valdemar short story, one telling about Alberich.
Roadkill is a "What if..."-story, one I really liked the concept of.
Operation Desert Fox is a military inspired story of a soldier and his AI, both great admirers of Rommel.
Grey and Grey's Ghost are stories about a parrot and his girl.
Thoughts about the book:
A lot of enjoyable stories here. Anyone who has read something they
liked by Mercedes Lackey, should be able to find something they like
here. Both classic fantasy, science fiction, horror, and modern
fantasy are covered here.
Also, for someone who hasn't read Mercedes Lackey before, this is a good book to start with.
