Power

What is Power? What can you do with it, how should you use it, and when should you use it?

Power can be a lot of things. There is Power in love, in hatred, in money; everything you do, or desire, or touch, contains Power. In everything someone else desires lies Power.

Power is the ability to manipulate someone or something. It in itself has nothing to do with magick. But a lot of what it achieves is what people want magick to achieve, so magick might be Power, but Power is not neccessarily magick.

So, by having something someone else wants, you have power over that person.

Power is the ability to make choices. If you are able to choose, you have influence on the future. In other words, the choices you make, manipulate the future.

So, in more than one way, feelings will be important. Through feelings, you can manipulate the choices people make. But also, feelings can give you the strength to use your own magick, by drawing on the energy invested there.

Power is energy. Energy can be stored, or tapped. There are different ways of gaining power. It will vary from person to person. A walk in the woods might give you the power you need, or to go to the disco. Just close your eyes and drift to your favourite music might also work; this is all ways of recharging. One way I have found effective, is to use feelings.

Feelings are a kind of energy. Or, you radiate energy of different kind, depending on your mood. If you're angry, people can often feel it. And this energy might be tapped and used, both your own, and others'.

How? That is something you must figure out yourself. You can try to "see" the energy as visible light, and visualize the light to focus on you. It might work, and it might not.

Also, be aware that you in this way may drain other people. Be very very careful if you do this, and don't do it without the other person's permission. To do so without permission would be rude, and, in some ways, theft.

When is it needed?

That takes us back to responsibility. You must figure out yourself when it is needed, and when it does no harm. Those two are not neccessarily the same. We have different needs, and different opinions of when to act, and why. What is important, is that you're conscious of this, and make a conscious choice.
